Meet Us at the Market - In December!

Don't forget! The Ballston Holiday Artist Boutique is coming up on December 2nd! This is an exclusive event, which will include 15 handpicked artists. Similar to the Ballston A&C Market, just more compact and inside. But we're here for the same mission: To further the exposure of both alternative and traditional arts and crafts in the DC area.
This brand-new endeavor will be held on Thursday, December 2nd from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM in the National Science Foundations’ beautiful atrium, which is right across the street from Welburn Square (4201 Wilson Boulevard). We think this time will be opportune for NSF employees and visitors to do some holiday shopping.

Holiday season is just around the corner. Look to your right to see our talented list of exhibitors.

Reinvented Elegance

Reinvented Elegance is a beautiful mix of media. Artist and designer, Joyce Wagner, loves nature-inspired jewelry; pressing, decoupaging with flowers and leaves; and concocting mosaics from river glass, seashells, recycled tiles and broken plates. Basically, artist and designer, Joyce Wagner, love to create art.

Joyce's main goal is to make people smile by creating whimsical pieces that showcase nature’s beauty and reinvent as many things as possible along the way.

And it truly shows in her artwork. Experience the beauty of Joyce's world of creation at the Ballston Holiday Artist Boutique on December 2nd!

Fast Snail Greetings & Design

Fast Snail cards and designs are based on the original artwork of Liz Hutcheson. A lifelong artist, Liz works in a variety of media, including pen and ink, watercolor, and pastel, to create distinctive designs that are witty, sophisticated and whimsical ... all at once!

So what inspires her you may ask? Well, Liz is inspired by (in no particular order) good art and literature, travel, French, Mother Nature, as well as things that are ridiculous, unique, funny and truly beautiful in their way.

And that's why I love Fast Snail! To check out the origins of the "Snail," visit Liz's website. Then, visit Liz in person and stock up on your Holiday cards all in one place--at the Ballston Holiday Artist Boutique on Thursday, December 2nd.

Freund 'n' Friends Photos

Photography's a tricky thing. Not everyone with a point and shoot can, well, point and shoot ... especially underwater. That's what makes Gloria Freund so unique. She engages with creatures of the world beneath the waves that few of us ever see in person. Blowfish, clownfish, jellyfish--you-name-it-fish. Gloria has immortalized them all through her photography.

And while she tips her hat to the imaginative and eye-catring process of digital art, it's important to note that Gloria hand processes each photograph herself.

Swing by the Ballston Holiday Artist Boutique on December 2nd to experience the world of Freund 'n' Friends Photos for yourself.

Yah, CraftGossip!

They are talking about me at CraftGossip.com

Inspired by our BLUE and GREEN planet, the key elements of bLuGrn design are earth, water and sky … and boston terriers.
